Rebecca Covey
Rebecca Covey is a designated Linklater Voice teacher, Equity Actor and Assistant Professor of Voice and Acting at Florida International University in Miami. She holds an MFA from UW Milwaukee and a BFA and BA from UC Santa Barbara. Her acting work spans the Midwest, California, France and now Florida. Shes played Hermione - The Winters Tale Lady MacBeth, Hester - The Scarlet Letter, Artemis - Eleomoysonary, and Simone de Beauvoir - Nelson and Simone. Recent Dialect direction: Betrayal and Stripped (Zoetic Stage-Miami), Bad Jews (Gable Stage-Miami) and Midsummer Nights Dream(Mile Square Theatre- New Jersey ). Research interests encompass embodied language, neurodiversity and the intersection of culture and voice.
