Brian has received both a BS and an MA in Theatre at Eastern Michigan University, where he was awarded the EMU Artistic Recognition Award for his design of Biloxi Blues. Since then, Brian earned an MFA from Wayne State University's illustrious Hilberry Repertory Theatre program specializing in Theatrical Lighting Design. Some of his more memorable works include Frank Langella's Cyrano, Othello, Major Barbara, and Bat Boy: The Musical. He has worked for many professional theatres in the greater Detroit area including the Detroit Repertory Theatre, the Elizabeth Theatre, Tipping Point Theatre, Williamston Theatre, and the Michigan Shakespeare Festival to name a few. In 2012, Brian was awarded a Wilde Award for his lighting design of The Winter's Tale for the Michigan Shakespeare Festival's 2011 season. Currently, Brian is an Assistant professor of Entertainment and Design Technology at Eastern Michigan University.
